Shubhada Jambhekar

Shubhada Jambhekar, Nagpur, Maharashtra, India.

My name is Shubhada Jambhekar. I am from Nagpur, India currently living in Pune.

Well, I do NOT hold any degree in Hindi. I had Hindi as a subject for 10 academic years. My mother tongue is not Hindi but the first language I learnt and spoke when I finally found my way with words was Hindi. And when, I studied Hindi in school & the read poems & texts by the greats like Munshi Premchand, Mahadevi Varma, Harivanshrai Bachchan, Sumitranandan Pant, my respect for the language grew leaps & bounds. Amar Chitra Katha books played a vital role in providing me knowledge about the history & culture of India.

What I do for a living… I am a soft-skills trainer & a huge amount of my training comprises teaching English! I love this language – English! In a country, where many regional conflicts occur because people are not ready to accept another language as their own, I believe that a person can love 2 or more languages equally.

I haven’t seen any GOOD Hindi blogs designed and organized so properly. Thanks for the help indeed. I am natively from Florida and learning hindi from my neighbor who is Indian. Will keep a watch on your blog to keep myself updated with the Hindi Vocab and grammar.

    Hello,

I came across this somehow and I must applaud the effort you have put into this. I have always complained that people in India (specially the youth) have all but forgotten to read and write in hindi. Hopefully your posts will inspire the new generation to at least give hindi a chance. Good Luck!

    sanshodh ka arth kya hai?
is it the same as sandeh?

    • Shubhada

      Hi Saumya,
Sanshodh‘ aisa koi word nahi hai. ‘Sanshodhan‘ = amendment or rectification or refinement. 🙂

Hello, I just happened to run into your blog. I have to say it is pretty great. My heritage is from India but, like you, Hindi isn’t my first language. Actually, let me say that I don’t speak any Hindi (I can understand it–somewhat). I can speak a related language but I’ve wanted to learn Hindi for a while. I see your last post was almost 2 years ago, I would, and I’m sure many others, would hate to see this end so suddenly!
